HUB History

In the run-up to the Coronation of King Charles, we took a look back through history at seven other Coronations that have happened over the last 200 years. We were able to talk about the sources of evidence, how we have some video and photographs but the older the coronation, we only have the artist’s impression of the events. We looked at how the formal clothes had not changed very much and talked about the regal colours and jewels that were used to mark such special occasions. The of course we had a little party of our own to mark this important time in our History!

HUB Good News!

This week, these children were chosen to be on the GOLDEN TABLE at lunch for their amazing lunch time behaviour, manners and kindness towards others! Great News! Well done!

HUB Science Week

Here we have lots of fabulous phots of us being Super Scientists. What the photos can not show you is the amazing discussions that we had before, during and after these activities, which blew our teacher away. We loved being hands on and we really loved accessing these investigations which were presented in a very SEN friendly way, using symbols that were kindly made for the National Science and Engineering Week (nsew.org.uk)

Red Nose Day HUB Fun

We wore what made us happy.

We helped to build THE MOST gigantic whole school paper chain, filled with links that we drew of things that bring us joy! It could loop the hall more than 4 times!

We played a brilliant game of Treasure Island in the gorgeous sunshine which Brad from The Tigers Trust taught us last week, and developed our tactics for defending and attacking.

We enjoyed eating Red Nose biscuits which were a lovely surprise left for us by our  HUB friends!

Check Us Out!

We had such a great day celebrating our love of books on World Book Day! We hope that you have all been able to exchange your voucher for a free book this year. Thank you once again for the amazing support of our CPPS families. Check out how amazing we look!

Healthy Choices!

We have loved giving out stickers to students who are eating their veg at lunch as part of the Eat Them to Defeat Them Campaign. It has been wonderful to see that so many families with the CPPS community are supporting the project at home too, rewarding their children for eating vegetables and making healthy choices at home. “You’re going down peas!”

HUB PE

Team Games

We worked well as a team to pass and score within the baskets.

We considered making the most of space and how we can defend our basket from the other team.

We had fun and enjoyed playing this game in the sunshine!

HUB Art

As we are learning about London in Geography and History, we chose to create a Julian Opie style portrait of Queen Elizabeth. We then worked on our colour mixing skills to fill the portrait with simple colours. We explored mark making techniques with a pencil which could be used to add texture and then applied these textured marks to our watercolour portrait to add depth and detail.

Netball Club

This years Netball Club have enjoyed training together tonight.  Here are some fab shots from tonight’s mini games!
