KS2 HUB Breakfast Club

In the KS2 HUB we have our own breakfast club every Monday morning where we chat about our weekends and all of the good things that we have done.

This morning we had toast and juice – we spread the butter, cut the toast then washed up our own dishes!

KS2 HUB Trip to Country Park

On Wednesday 26th September we went to the Country Park in Hessle for a sensory walk. We found lots of things such as sticks, conkers and lots of colouful leaves. We walked through the quiet, dark wood and thought of lots of adjectives to describe what we could see and how we felt.

We all had a lovely time!

KS2 HUB Fun at Pickering Park

On Wednesday 19th September, the KS2 HUB children went for an adventure to the park and all had a lovely time.

First we went on a nature hunt and collected lots of different leaves, conkers, pine cones and even saw some squirrels running around.

Then we went to the park and played on the equipment and had a snack.

We went on the zip line and played some team building games such as the parachute.

Y3 Park Fun

Y3 have had a fantastic morning so far at Pickering Park! We have used natural resources to make collages and have loved playing football and playing on the park!

Egg Decorating

Y3 had a wonderful morning decorating boiled eggs! The children came up with lots of creative ideas and all really enjoyed it despite our classrooms being very smelly!

PE and Maths

Today we have been learning how to read maps in orienteering. We have had to follow different maps to various cones which have all been worth a different amount then we have had to add up the total amount!

Egyptian Necklace

First we went out six at a time then we drew a circle in the middle of our paper plate and cut it out. We all painted our paper plates in  gold and left them to dry. Then we painted our red and blue onto our necklace and added decorations.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         by Leila and Imogen

Orienteering

in Y3 we have had our very first session of orienteering and we love it! We had to use a map to follow instructions to get us around a course. Then we had to follow instructions to match the correct colours of equipment to make funny faces!

We love to Dance!

We are learning how to dance like puppets and robots from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We are using our robotic skills and look great!

STEM Fun

Year 3 enjoyed the STEM activities. We had to try and build a chocolate factory using spaghetti and marshmallows.

We designed our structures first and then build them. We had to figure out how to make a strong structure and how best to fix it together.

Some of us managed to build some pretty tall buildings!
