Foundation Stage Hub

We have done lots of activities this week and have enjoyed the Sensory room, Soft play and the outside area,

They have had lots of exercise and have enjoyed been very active. All the children joined in with the climbing and turn taking. The sun was shinning and this made the boys very happy.

HUB Art

Working in our beautiful school grounds in todays Art Lesson in the sun! Our objective was ‘really noticing’ as we spent time observing and sketching objects that captured our interests.

HUB Fundraising Fun

We looked amazing for our Rock/Pop Star day to support Viking FM’s Cash for Kids appeal. Thank you to all of our families for your continued support, the thought and effort in today’s outfits was amazing!

Here are a few snaps of us dancing, we are ‘Rolling on a River’, remembering the late Tina Turner with our classmate River, who tells us that he was named after this song!

HUB English

This week, we explored the features of a non-chronolgical report. We loved the Storm Whale story so decided that we would like to know more about the mighty whale. We worked in pairs to decide our title and subtitles and then researched our chosen areas of study. We demonstrated great research skills, independence and team work to complete this project are were really proud of our reports!

HUB Swimming Lessons

Over the course of two weeks, our 4 Year-Four HUB children visited Beverley Road Swimming Baths every afternoon. We loved visiting this beautiful building with its mosaic floors and unique viewing gallery. Every day, we made great progress and grew in confidence in the water. We learned a variety of swimming techniques and practiced safe rescue. A great fortnight with lots of resilience and perseverance and we are REALLY PROUD of you all!

We even spotted a decimal number on the pool wall, “Look Miss, just like what have been learning about in Maths!” 🙂

The Foundation Stage Hub

Today the sun was shinning so we all decided to get some lovely fresh air and some exercise.

The boys got over their fears and climbed the big frame independently.

Noah was so happy with himself when he got to the top he was beaming with the biggest smile we had ever seen.

Connor enjoyed all the equipment too.

He took our hand to push him on the swing. He loved the big slide and went down it confidently.

The Hub

All the children enjoyed playing with all the equipment this week..

They all shared the scooters and helped each other if they needed help on them.

It has been a lovely sunny week this week so the children have been enjoying the outdoor area

Connor enjoys chalking and likes to make lots of patterns.

Noah also had his turn on the bikes.

It is lovely to see all the children using the resources and enjoying them.  Well done boys.

The Hub

Connor came in this morning and went over to the mark making board and enjoyed making his very own picture.

.He was concentrating really hard to hold his pen. We sang Write dance together as he went along.

What an active morning Connor has had .

He has really started to use all the resources and has even got the jigsaw out and matched them all independently.
