The Foundation Stage Hub

Today the sun was shinning so we all decided to get some lovely fresh air and some exercise.

The boys got over their fears and climbed the big frame independently.

Noah was so happy with himself when he got to the top he was beaming with the biggest smile we had ever seen.

Connor enjoyed all the equipment too.

He took our hand to push him on the swing. He loved the big slide and went down it confidently.

The Hub

All the children enjoyed playing with all the equipment this week..

They all shared the scooters and helped each other if they needed help on them.

It has been a lovely sunny week this week so the children have been enjoying the outdoor area

Connor enjoys chalking and likes to make lots of patterns.

Noah also had his turn on the bikes.

It is lovely to see all the children using the resources and enjoying them.  Well done boys.

P.C.S.O. visit in F1

We had a visit from a Police Community Support Officer in F1. She told us all about her job and how she keeps people safe. We had a look around her Police car, and even got to sit inside. It was so exciting!

F2 ‘BIG BUILD’ Stay and Play!

Thank you once again to everyone who attended our F2 ‘Stay and Play’ this week! We had a fantastic afternoon with our ‘BIG BUILD’ and the weather held out for us! It was a glorious afternoon and you all made some amazing creations! Our theme was bridge building following on from our story ‘The Three Billy Goat’s Gruff’ and we had lots of brilliant Humber Bridges created! We also painted bridges, made sandcastles, junk modelled and built using Duplo, stickle bricks, lego and big crates! Thank you again for a successful afternoon, as always the children loved it and loved showcasing our amazing classroom indoors and outdoors!

Nature Club!

This week in Nature Club the children loved searching for bugs in our mini-beast hunt! We found lots of different insects and were able to name them all! We looked at mini-beast books to learn interesting facts about each one! We found lots hiding under logs and bricks around school, hiding in the dark and damp. We had great fun making mini-beast homes and ticking off all the ones we found. We continued this learning in school by following the children’s interests and ideas by making a brilliant bug hotel! The children have loved adding to it in the Foundation Stage garden…

Connor came in this morning and went over to the mark making board and enjoyed making his very own picture.

.He was concentrating really hard to hold his pen. We sang Write dance together as he went along.

What an active morning Connor has had .

He has really started to use all the resources and has even got the jigsaw out and matched them all independently.
