Christmas Carol Concert

A huge well done to all of the children who took part in the Christmas Carol Concert.

After months of hard work, the choir were able to perform in front of their parents, as well as some of the ladies from the local residential home.

There was singing, solo performances and even some children playing the recorder.

It was a lovely afternoon which the the audience thoroughly enjoyed.

A big thank you to the PTA for helping out with refreshments and to the staff to helped out too.

We can’t wait to see them singing again soon.

Boom whackers in F2.

F2 really enjoyed their introduction to the boom whackers this week. They explore the instruments and the different sounds they made. We talked about the different notes each tube made and played some copy games. Mrs Jones beat out a rhythm on her tube then the children had to copy and respond to the rhythm.

Floor book

We started our floor book today. The children loved contributing to the entry and loved looking at the photos of themselves. We had some lovely conversations.

This is the finished page – out entry all about our art work.

We used pens to draw our faces. We discussed the different shapes we can see when looking in a mirror.

We also painted our self portraits. We did this in 3 different stages.

Great art work, thinking ‘all about me’. Good skills with the paints. Well done F2.
