Digital Leaders

Childnet Digital Leaders

The Childnet Digital Leaders Programme is a youth leadership training programme empowering young people to educate their peers about online safety. The digital leader team will be given the power to shape and improve their own online communities. Young people can play a powerful role in educating their peers – by providing relatable and up to date advice – and shaping a schools or organisation’s ethos by acting as role models. They will be able to improve their tech expertise and give an understanding of young people’s digital lives to educate parents, carers and staff.

The Childnet Digital Leaders Programme will offer young people access to an exciting online community, where they will access training and support from Childnet’s expert team and record achievements and progress. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate and share inspiration with young Digital Leaders across the UK.

The programme will also give young people opportunities to engage with leading technology companies and have a say in creating a better internet for the future.

Young people from our school will be at the centre of creating a kinder and better internet.

In our school we are happy to announce that we will have some Year 6 children taking part in Childnets Digital Leader program and will be able to use the knowledge that they gain to give advice to their peers and improve our curriculum.

Our Digital Leaders are:

‘It is important to be a digital leader so we can help the younger children to stay safe online’ Danny

It is important that we are digital leaders so that we can stop people getting bullied online’ Parker

‘I enjoy being a digital leader so I can influence people to be safe online’ Kaden
