Last night our Y5 boys attended the HAS five-a-side football finals at goals soccer centre. The tournament go off to a great start and the boys cruised through their first three games, scoring 11 goals and conceding zero. However, a tricky semi-final again Gillshill saw them lose, going through to the play off finals against Spring Cottage. This was a very tricky game and striker, Alfie M, hit the woodwork on several occasions. Unfortunately, the boys lost this game and finished 4th.
We are still very proud of this achievement and this incredible team are getting better on every outing. Well done boys!

Today our year 5/6 boys and girls attended the Hull Active Schools Sports Hall Athletics Finals.
This was a very tough competition with the very best athletes from across the city fighting for a spot at the county finals. A morning on the track went very well for CPPS with our boys and girls both winning their relays, but other schools proved stronger in the field.

Tonight a group of children got to try the fun and interesting game of Goalball. Originally designed and introduces for rehabilitating blinded soldiers post-war, Goalball requires players to use their hearing to sense where the ball is during play (the ball contains a number of small bells that rattle around).
These children had a fantastic time and are eager to share the game with others back at school!

Today was our Hull Schools Cross Country finals. Not only did we have three individual runners today, but had teams in both the boys and girls 5/6 races.
The track was very long and challenging and an early injury saw Harry M pull out after 400m. Alfie M has a fantastic race and is improving every time he heads out. As usually, the twins, Luca and Nico, were battling one another and ran another fantastic race. In the girls race, Tamzin L shone and recored her our best every girls finishing position at a XC final – 19.
Well done children!
