Social Skills

The children had lots of fun today working together. We did lots of listening, looking and taking turns . The best part was our story about Louis who would not sit still. We discussed how we sit and why is it important to sit properly. The children also enjoyed hiding the teddy. They had to close their eyes then open them and then do good looking to find him. We also did compliments at the end to encourage the children to think of something another child had done well in the session.

The children were so excited to play with all the activities. They said they cannot wait to read all the books.

The children also enjoyed looking at the rules and seeing what activities we were going to use next.

In FS2, we have been developing our ICT skills.

ICT skills can help promote confidence and also persistence – encouraging pleasure in learning by enhancing engagement, motivation and the lovely desire to learn.

So, after a little introduction on how to use the iPad – off we went and got snappy!

The children loved experimenting, the choice of the subject was entirely up to them, as were the camera angles – natural, self learning is so wonderful to observe.

They decided when they needed to point the camera high…

…when it needed to be low …

…and when we needed to bend down to capture the perfect picture!

The children took photographs of their friends (and teachers!) having fun and being happy…

…photographs of shadows…

…close-up photographs of the frost…

…and our outdoor equipment.

⭐️ We think their photographs are amazing! ⭐️

Friendship Groups

We have really enjoyed our time this week in our Friendship Groups. We have learnt how to share, how to listen, follow instructions and most of all how to have lots of fun.

We really enjoyed all the exciting activities.  We had lots of fun taking it in turns, playing the looking game, listening game, what’s in the bag game and most of all the Lycra game with the bear. In the looking game we all had a different animal on as a mask. It was so funny. We also enjoyed the what’s in our bag game and did lots of laughing.

❄SNOW IN F1! ❄

F1 had lots of fun exploring the fake snow in our outdoor area!

Albie said the ice was going to melt!

Maria made a snow coffee!

Exploring the ice.

The children had so much fun looking at all the different areas outside. They investigated all the plants and we talked about what happens to them in winter. We looked at the mud kitchen and we could see how the water had turned into ice. They enjoyed writing down their finds and taking pictures .
