F1 make soup

We’ve had an exciting time making and tasting soup today. It’s created a lot of chat and ideas.

First of all we explored the vegetables.  There were some that the children hadn’t seen before.

Isla-Grey thought the swede might be an avocado.  However, she knew that the second vegetable was a parsnip.  Well done Isla-Grey!

We then worked hard to chop the vegetables up.  Some of them were very hard.  We had to make sure that they were quite small.  The children had to find the big chunks that needed cutting smaller.

When the vegetables were ready we added some water and a stock cube.  Ivy N knew that we had to cook the vegetables to make them soft.

When they were cooked we blended them until the soup was smooth.

Well done to (nearly) all the children for tasting our homemade soup too! Some of them thought it was delicious!

The Hub

The boys have had a great time exploring the outside area.

Connor enjoyed making sandcastles and building bridges. He loved the digger trucks and drove around the sand on his knees.

Kojeen decided to be brave and go on the seesaw .He independently managed to go on and push himself up and down,

Well done Kojeen.

Connor wanted to build with the bricks today . He built a wall and he then counted with Mrs Rowbottom,

Great counting Connor.

The Foundation Stage Hub

The chlidren have had a blast on their first week back. They have so enjoyed the outside area and the lovely sunny weather. They came back all full of smiles and ready to meet up with their friends.

We have been talking about the weather and deciding what day it is today  and what the weather is like.

Noah really enjoyed making his jigsaw and putting all the pieces together. He was so excited when he finished it. He also enjoyed riding the bike and trying to catch Mrs Rowbottom on her bike.

Hunter really enjoyed reading his book and looking at all the exciting pictures. He loved climbing in the half moon in soft play and climbing all the way to the top of the climbing frame.

Connor went straight for our new build a brick box and loved making towers. We sang a song together as we built it.

F1’s Egg Hunt

We’re going on an egg hunt,

We’re going to find a chocolate one.

It’s a rainy day

But we’re not wet!

F1 went searching around school to see if we could find the Easter Bunny. We had no luck at all…

…until we got back to the classroom!

We were so excited that the Bunny came to visit us. Thank you so much for our chocolate eggs too!

F1 writers

We’ve had a busy day in F1 being spectacular ‘writers’. The children have all created their own Hungry Caterpillar mini-book. We thought carefully about what happened in the story and wrote it down, we added illustrations and we practised reading our stories out loud together. Some children even took their books into Continuous Provision to keep working on them. Very impressive!

F2 Easter Bonnet!

A BIG thank you to parents for all your help and support with the AMAZING Easter bonnets! The children looked fabulous and loved showcasing them to their friends and especially to you in their Easter Parade!

The children were all fantastic and loved dancing and strutting their stuff, parading their fabulous hats for everyone to see! We had some amazing creations… from pirate rabbit’s on boats, to Easter tiara’s! They were all fabulous!!!

Thank you for your continued support, what a lovely afternoon we had showcasing them off on the stage!

Happy Easter!
