Year 2’s non-narrative unit this half term has been letters. They looked at different letters and identified the features of a letter. Then we learned about statement sentences and wrote our own questions and statements. As an end outcome, we thought of questions to ask King Charles III and wrote a letter to him. We then walked to the post box to post our letters! We hope that we get a reply!
F1 have been busy baking scones. They weren’t just any type of scone though, they were ‘crazy creature’ scones!

Today the year 5’s visited Sirius Academy to partake in an amazing day of Creative and Performing Arts. The children loved watching the performance ‘The Adam’s Family’ before being part of the crew. Children were given workshops to enhance their drama skills and become an undead cast member before practicing and performing a dance routine. They also got the chance to add to the set of the final show through creating props that will be used on the actual performance nights!

Having learned the signifiers so that we could orally retell the story of ‘The King Who Banned The Dark’ we used our phonic knowledge and writing skills to write the story too. These students demonstrated amazing resilience whilst working this week and the smiles on their faces say it all, well done boys!
