WW2 Immersive Learning Area!

Year 3/4 love using their WW2 immersive learning area to help them imagine what life would have been like for the soldiers. We have a dressing up area, a 1940’s style wendy house, a WW2 artefact area, trenches, and a world map table. Lots of different areas for the children to explore and learn in!

Making air-raid shelter models!

Year 3 have been getting creative and have enjoyed making their own mini air-raid shelters! We have been learning lots about WW2 and how air-raid shelters were a vital part in ensuring people were safe during the Hull Blitz. We even have our own air-raid shelter in the classroom to try and help us understand what it must have been like to use one!air raid shelter air raid shelter classroom

Y3 Historical Battles History Lesson

Miss Stainton’s class enjoyed working in pairs to research important historical battles which involved England. They have been doing lots of comparison work within topic lessons exploring the differences between WW2 and battles which happened a long time ago. They are becoming really confident using search engines effectively on the iPads to help them learn more about history and especially enjoy working in our immersive WW2 themed pod! Great work!
