Aspire Gymnastics for Y6

As part of the school’s on going drive to provide pupils with exit points to a variety of sports outside of school, Y6 have had a fantastic day of gymnastics at Aspire Gymnastics club this morning.

They got to try out a variety of olympic standard equipment like bars, beams and sprung floor. They all had an amazing time and really worked hard on their gymnastic skills.

We are looking forward to seeing if anyone takes up gymnastic with Aspire soon.

Y5 Boys finish 4th in 5-a-side finals

Last night our Y5 boys attended the HAS five-a-side football finals at goals soccer centre. The tournament go off to a great start and the boys cruised through their first three games, scoring 11 goals and conceding zero. However, a tricky semi-final again Gillshill saw them lose, going through to the play off finals against Spring Cottage. This was a very tricky game and striker, Alfie M, hit the woodwork on several occasions. Unfortunately, the boys lost this game and finished 4th.

We are still very proud of this achievement and this incredible team are getting better on every outing. Well done boys!
