LR: Gerrard B, James D, Bradley Y (c), Bradley McCarthy and Kyle R.
On Thursday, our Y6 boys attended the Hull School’s FA 5-aside football championships. With incredibly high standards in past competitions, the boys knew this year would be no different but were willing to give it their all. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a tough night for the boys in blue.
After loosing their first two games 7-0 and 5-0, the chance of progressing to the final had sadly slipped away. Instead, the boys began to look closely at how they could improve, and were very successful in making progress. With a great goal from the captain in the next game, their spirits were lifted. In their final game the boys looked very promising after Kyle R scored twice, giving CP a 2-0 lead against a physical Stoneferry team. Unfortunately, their lead was eventually lost and with it the game.
However, the boys remained positive and supportive throughout and made the most of the situation by viewing it as an opportunity to improve! A special mention to keeper Bradley Mc who made his goalie debut. Bradley made some outstanding saves in every game, impressing spectators.
Well done boys!
