On Monday, some lucky year 6 children got to try their hands at Goalball, and a few even made their School Games debut in the process.
Goalball, invented to aid rehabilitation of blind soldiers post WW2, requires players to abandon their sense of sight and rely on their hearing instead. The aim of the game is to stop the ball, which contains two bells, from going in the goal. Teams take alternate turns attacking and defending until the 6 minute game is over.
Our children had a brilliant time and really enjoyed themselves! Well done to everyone taking part.
