We in Year 5S are thoroughly enjoying our weekly lessons with Mrs Stallard, who is teaching us to play the amazing clarinet. We have discussed the various families that an array of instruments belong to (woodwind; percussion; brass and string) and even learnt the value of different musical notes (minims= 2; crotchet =1 and quavers =1/2).
With steady hands, we have mastered putting our Clarinets together in order (Bell; Barrel; Mouthpiece; Reed then the Ligature): and through much practice, perseverance and determination, we have even managed to create a tune…which can be quite tricky!

Budding musicians in the making! ENCORE YEAR 5!!!
