This week in F2…

This week in F2, during literacy and topic we’ve been finding out more about what plants need to grow, writing lists and instructions. We used our ‘Fred fingers’ to pinch the sounds in the words; dig, put, up, in, it, mud and seed.

In art, we continued our learning of Henri Matisse and used his inspiration on our Mother’s Day cards … we hope you love them!

On World Book Day we all came to school in our pyjamas and brought our favourite book. It was so lovely to see, read and share all the wonderful stories that were brought in. Then, in the afternoon, the Y4 children joined us for hot chocolate and to read stories to us…we really enjoyed this special day.

In Jigsaw (this is our PSHE, personal, social, health, economic lesson) we are learning about healthy/unhealthy foods and sugary drinks and the impact they have on our teeth and bodies.

In Maths we continued our learning on the numbers 9 and 10, with our main focus being the different ways we can make them.

In PE we focused on moving, balancing and how to make different shapes with our bodies. We learnt the importance of moving safely and finding a space… and we had great fun pretending to be astronauts flying, walking and landing on the moon, it was great fun!

As always, we have spent lots of time learning and discovering outdoors…lots of time for physical play, making fabulous, magical vehicles in our construction area and looking for signs of Spring.

We hope you’re all busy creating Easter bonnets for our parade on Tuesday 19th March, we can’t wait to see them!
