For our ‘I wonder Wednesday’ this week we had lots of fun learning all about Diwali✨
The children had a special visit on Tuesday from some firefighters! They kindly let us explore their fire engine and have a go using the hose. We enjoyed learning all about firefighters 🚒🚨🔥
F2 really enjoyed their introduction to the boom whackers this week. They explore the instruments and the different sounds they made. We talked about the different notes each tube made and played some copy games. Mrs Jones beat out a rhythm on her tube then the children had to copy and respond to the rhythm.

This week Foundation Stage have loved learning, exploring and celebrating all things Diwali! We loved reading the story of the first Diwali… the story of ‘Rama and Sita‘ and had great fun acting out the story with props! In continious provision we have explored Rangoli patterns, Mendhi hands and made some fabulous Diva pots! We have enjoyed learning about Hindu traditions and the festival of light!
The children in F1 have been developing their fine motor skills by carefully threading beads on to some laces to make necklaces.
