F2 Builder Day!

A few snaps from our builder ‘WOW’ day! The children had great fun learning all about the roles involved in house development, from designing houses to building them! We became architects and thought about what our house would have and the materials we could use. We got to work building as a team and made a fabulous house with windows, walls, a roof, chimney and a garden! Unfortunately whilst we were out having our lunch over dinner someone came into the classroom and blew our house down!!! The children were quite puzzled by who could have done this!? This led to an investigation… and we soon found the culprit! The BIG BAD WOLF! The children decided they wanted to question the wolf and find out why he had blown down our house… The wolf was taken in for hot-seating and the children thought of some fantastic questions! The children came to the conclusion themselves that really the wolf wasn’t all that bad and in actual fact was just quite lonely and needed a friend. The children helped the wolf make his own house as he promised to not blow anymore houses down! The children all looked fabulous in their builder costumes!

F1’s Christmas Party Day

A fun day today in F1.  The children thought of everything that we would need for a party and we made a list.  It was started off by Charlie with, “music”.  Check!

Then Phoebe added, “Maybe cupcakes.”  Check!

“Hats!” said Tommy.  So we all made party hats.

Benjamin thought we should have more cake.  Bailey said, “I think we need lights.”

Richard thought of, “Christmas presents.”  “To open,” added Phoebe.  So we played pass the parcel.

Lola said, “I think a Santa.  A pretend one.”

Gracie thought more cake too!

Instead we played some fun games.

Finally, Charlie came up with, “Dancing!”.  Then added, “You should freeze it before the music stops.”  So we danced and we played musical statues.

What a fantastic party.  Merry Christmas everyone!

Nativity

All of the staff were so proud of the children who took part in the Nativity this year. They worked really hard to learn their lines, sing the songs and come on and off the stage the right times. The children also learnt more about the story of the first Christmas and what Christians believe happened at that time.

Here are some of the photos we got of the children.

Christmas Jumper Day

F1 had a lovely Christmas Jumper and Dinner day.  Before we went for our lovely dinner, we built sleighs outside.  They were pulled along by magic reindeer and filled with presents to deliver.
