Puzzle 1- Who… Me?

In our first jigsaw lesson the children were introduced to Jigsaw Jenie!!. They were SO excited, however he sent us a letter saying he was feeling a bit nervous about meeting us! The children were very helpful and we discussed ways that we can help Jigsaw Jenie feel included and welcome in our class.

Some of the children said…

Myla: “We could give him a hug”

Freddie: “We should have kind hands and feet”

Blake: ” We could could share our toys”

Jacob: “We could say nice things to him or make him laugh”

We then all decided together at play time that we would try and make a new face in our class smile by doing one of these kind gestures!

Puzzle 2- How am I Feeling Today?

In this lesson Jigsaw Jenie came to visit us today but it was his first day of school so he was feeling a mix of emotions. We discussed the different types of emotions and why some children might feel these.

We then brought this in to our play by making nature emotions faces which was so much fun.
