This week in art we have started to create our own seascape based on the work of John Ward.
We have spent the last few weeks looking at how John Ward uses cold colours and we practised creating tints and tones with these colours.
We then spent time discussing how using different medias in our art can create layer and texture. We practised this technique using oil pastels, paint and PVA glue. After seeing how these medias work together we were ready to create our own seascapes using these medias.
We have started our own artwork by using oil pastels. We have thought about the lines we need and the shading we can add. We have also thought about how we can use paint and PVA glue to create texture.
Our first layer is beginning to look like the start of some fantastic seascape pictures. We cannot wait to add our paint and PVA next week.
