Scholarship: Basket Ball and Beyond

Over the next couple of weeks, our sports scholarship will be explore games linked to basket ball and really developing their hand-eye coordination and attacking and defending skills across some lesser-known sports.

This week, children played Tschouk ball – a fast-paced sport in which points can be scored at either end of the pitch by bouncing the ball off a special net and landing it in the playing zone. This game requires high levels of skill and quick thinking in oder to get to the upper hand.

Children also played handball. Requiring similar positioning and marking strategies as basketball and netball, children enjoyed this game but had to adapt their scoring and defences strategies.

Well done to everyone for your fantastic effort.

Finding ways to create scoring opportunities can be tricky in Tchoukball.

Sharp defence was the key to winning in handball!
