We follow the ‘Language Angels’ scheme of work where KS2 children will have the opportunity to begin to learn the basics of Spanish. Due to us changing from French to Spanish recently, our children have limited Spanish experience so will follow a different LTP for the next year. All year groups will carry out a basic Spanish unit of work in the first autumn term which will then allow them to access the years work.

The Language Angels Progression Map shows how pupil foreign language learning
across each of the key skills of SPEAKING, LISTENING, READING, WRITING and
GRAMMAR progresses within each Language Angels Teaching Type. It also shows
how the level of learning and progression of each pupil is increased as pupils move
across each subsequently more challenging Language Angels Teaching Type.
