After reading the Stone Age Boy and Elf Road, we went on to create our own portal stories. To be able to complete this task we had to create a new world which our character would be transported to. To engage our readers, we challenged ourselves to use adventurous vocabulary that took into account all of our senses, as well as using fronted adverbials.
