Today, we have been looking at being historians through studying sources of evidence from the civilisation of the Maya. The children were able to research and then present information about 3 Mayan archaeological sites – The Pyramid at Chichen Itza, Hieroglyphic Stairway at Copan and the Maya Stelae. By presenting the information to each other, they were able to learn about all three sites and decide why an archaeologist might find them useful.
