This week in maths we have been looking at writing number sentences relating to part-whole models.

We explored this practically first by using counters to complete a part- whole model. On our whiteboards  we then made  the  same  part-whole  model  using  numerals.  Finally  we  wrote  the  number  sentence  to  represent it. With their partners, they then made their own part-whole model between them and enjoyed writing the number sentences. Well done Year 1!
