This week in music Year 2 are continuing to appraise the songs we are going to perform in our Christmas service.

This week we have appraised ‘Silent Night‘. We liked this song as it was slow and made us all feel relaxed.

The notes were very long and we talked about how we need to fill our lungs with air to hold the long  notes when we perform.

We listened to different versions of the song and talked about the different instruments we could hear. We identified a guitar and violin on one version but could only hear the piano on another. We liked the sound of the violin as this was gentle and soft.
