This afternoon Y56 have been creating miniature moonscapes as part of their space topic. After studying photographs and videos of the moons surface, children used clay to create their textured surfaces in a Petri dish. Whilst the clay dried of a little, children carefully made miniature American flags which where added once the children had carefully painted their moons.

The overall effect is brilliant, resulting in some excellent art work.
