F1’s bears

We have started painting our bears today.  Everyone had to start with a circle shape but they also had to think carefully about what sized circle they needed, depending on whether they were painting Daddy Bear (large), Mummy Bear (medium sized) or Baby Bear (small).  Autumn told me her circle was, “large” because she was painting “Daddy Bear”.  Well done Autumn!

F1’s new areas…

We have been busy setting up the role play room, small world area and special story seat ready for our new text next week.  Can you guess the story?

F1 in wet weather…

The wet weather never stops F1 from having fun!  Yesterday, Florence started her own game, rolling a tyre to see how far it would travel.  It soon became a very popular game and lots of children joined in.  Well done everyone!

F1’s radishes!

In less than a week our radishes have already begun to grow! They are only tiny shoots though, with just a tiny root hidden in the soil. We can’t wait for them to grow even more!

F2 PE

We have been practicing our walking, stopping and balancing. As well as our shaking skills!

F1 Self-portraits

Our self-portraits have been coming along nicely.  The children had a good look at themselves in the mirror first so they could see what their face looked like.  Everyone tried really hard to start off with a big circle.  Well done everyone!

Planting

Today F1 have done their first little bit of planting.  The afternoon children carefully sprinkled radish seeds in a long line.  We then covered them back up so the birds don’t eat them before they can grow.  Let’s hope we have a nice crop very soon.

F2 Self Portraits

We used mirrors to explore the shapes of the features of our faces. Then drew our self portraits. These are proudly hanging in the gallery in the classroom.

F1 Farm Stay & Play

A fantastic morning in the sun today when our families came to play.

Click on the link below to see how we got on with all of our farming activities and the animals we saw with the Purple Pig Co.

Seaside Day

A rather soggy Seaside Day in FS!  Thank goodness the ice-cream man came to lift our spirits!
