Today in F1 we had a lovely visit from The Purple Pig farm. We all got chance to pet the animals and learn lots of interesting facts about the animals. We all really enjoyed ourselves. Please click on the link to see our photos from the day.
F1 Farm Visit to School 1.7.21
The children in F1 are doing a great job looking after our plants🌱 Some of the flowers have started to bloom🌼The children stood next to the sunflowers and they have grown bigger than the children!🌻🌻🌻
This week in F1 we are reading the story called ‘The Little Red Hen’. Today for our snack we got to try some different types of bread and we talked about how bread is made. 🍞🌾
The children had some amazing conversations last week about weight.
They used the balance scales to weigh, compare and order items depending on how heavy they were. We did try to trick them by adding in a really small object which was very heavy, but it didn’t fool them. They worked together in teams to explore and investigate the objects weight. Well done F2 super maths brains
We were so excited to be able to use the climbing wall last week.
First, we needed to get the harness fitted – this would help keep us safe on the wall. We then got clipped onto the rope, this helped us float down when we had climbed up as high as we can reach.
All of the children who came out with us were super brave and had a go at climbing the wall. They definitely channelled their inner Spiderman.

We talked about the different muscles we use the climb and how it can help us to keep fit and healthy.

Some of the children shared that they already loved climbing and had been to Rock-up and Rock city before which is great to hear.
We also talked about keeping safe when climbing, thinking about good things to climb and things we shouldn’t climb on.
We would LOVE to do this again.
Harvey “Look how high I went”
F1. Had an amazing time at our Sports Day, this morning. The children’s chanting and shouting made up for no spectators at this years event. The children all took part in each race and had big smiles on their faces throughout. Please click on the link below to see the pictures of our event.
