Trip to the library

Today we took a short and exciting trip to the school library! For many of our children, it was their first time using the library properly, so we began by talking about the library rules and how to take care of the books. The children listened beautifully and showed fantastic understanding.

Once inside, everyone explored the shelves carefully, choosing books that looked interesting and exciting. It was lovely to see the children sharing stories with each other, turning pages gently, and talking about the pictures they found.

After spending some time reading independently and with friends, we gathered together to enjoy a story as a class. The children were fully engaged and listened brilliantly.

Before leaving, the children did an amazing job tidying the library, returning books to the right places and making sure it looked just as lovely as when we arrived ready for the other children in the school to use.

We really enjoyed the calm atmosphere and will definitely be making regular trips here!
