Year 3 have started our new science unit on forces by experimenting and investigating which forces are need to play with toys.

We have discovered forces such as push and pull are needed for some toys to work. We had to pull the figure to make it stretch, we had to push the ball to make it roll and we had to push the spinning top to make it spin around.

We also looked at a magnetic fishing game and how these forces are different to the toys we had to make work. We can’t wait to start finding out more about magnets during this topic.
