In PSHCE this week, Year 5 were learning about a range of jobs careers. The children began by ordering a list of jobs from most important to least important; we then discussed their thoughts and ideas as to why they had position the cards in their places. Some of the points that were raised were salary, importance to the community and enjoyment. After this, the children worked in groups to come up with the salary of each job/career and they then decided whether the career was underpaid, overpaid or respectfully paid.

This week’s lesson was very important to understand job roles and their benefits and disadvantages.
