Our final piece of our artwork inspired by Piet Mondrian…
We finished off the term by finalizing our masterpieces and using all of the skills we have learnt over the last few weeks. We have looked at primary colours and how to make them and researched different pieces created by Piet. We loved the block prints and the effect this created. We decided to make our own block prints using electric tape and use our knowledge of primary colours to mix and pour our paints! The children were fantastic at holding their brushes with great skill and trying to keep their paintings within the lines-quite a skill! They all looked fabulous and individual despite the common inspiration! You can see these fabulous pieces showcased in our classroom on our ‘moving art gallery’…it has wheels!!!
