Moving forward with your maths homework, we would like you to use the link below to access the ‘White Rose Maths’ website. This provides content which covers the rest of the Year 5 curriculum we would have been studying in school.

Each lesson has a short video clip to watch to assist with teaching and learning the concept, then an activity sheet to complete. Remember these do not need to be printed as the answers can just be written down onto paper. An answer sheet is also provided so you can then mark the work.

Day 1 – Reading, reflecting on a poem; learning to perform it.

Day 2 – Revise expanded noun phrases. Identify these in poetry; practise performing a poem.

Day 3 – Use expanded noun phrases and Joseph Coelho’s advice to plan and write your own descriptive poem.

Day 4 – Revise use of commas to separate clauses; practise adding these to sentences.

Day 5 – Revise use of commas in lists and create own school uniform, describing it’s different parts using commas correctly.
